Albert Silverman is a Senior Vice President and Chief Architect for PricewaterCoopers' IT Advisory practice.
Albert has over thirty years of experience in Information Technology with a unique blend of management, strategy, technology, operations, business implementation and development skills. He is recognized as a subject matter expert in Information Technology, data networking and the Internet.
Albert achieved IBM Canada’s highest technical position and distinguished himself in guiding many major Canadian corporations in the successful implementation of their IT mainframe and server infrastructure and applications. He became the first Canadian to receive a Corporate Technical Innovation Award for outstanding technical contribution to IBM’s business at the global level. He has also held the position of VP, Internet Services for both AT&T and Sprint in Canada.
He is a certified senior enterprise architect with over 20 engagements involving the development of enterprise and application architectures for top 100 Canadian corporations.

Jonathan Hirst is a Director in PricewaterhouseCoopers' (PwC) Advisory practice.
Jon has over 22 years of consulting and information systems experience in a wide variety of roles, which include Sourcing and Information Technology (IT) best practices to enterprise architectures and IT strategy. He has experience across a broad range of industries including Oil & Gas, Utilities, Transportation, Banking and Government in both Europe and North America. Jon's experience includes engagements in both IT and Sustainability projects, and he is a lead member of PwC's global Sustainable IT practice.
He has been with PwC since 2006.

The presentation focuses on the role of the Enterprise Architect in supporting "Green IT" within the IT organization and facilitating the use of IT as an enabler for improved sustainability in the business. We will explore the drivers for sustainability, opportunities for improvement, example KPIs and the role of the architect, in what we believe will be one of the key emerging business issues this year.
