  Adrian Seccombe, CISO and Senior Enterprise Information Architect, Eli Lilly & Company Ltd.  


#Adrian Seccombe is an Information Technology Leader, with extensive knowledge and practical experience in various I.T., Strategy & Quality Management positions in the United Kingdom, France, and the U.S.A.  Originally an electronic engineer with Ferranti Military Systems Division, Adrian then moved to I.T.T. Business Systems Division, before joining Eli Lilly, an international pharmaceutical company, in 1980 as a Telecommunications Analyst.  As Manager of Telecom & Technology Development, Adrian relocated with his family to work at the Lilly headquarters in Indianapolis, Indiana. Then after 4 years, in various management positions, including IT Strategy Manager, he moved to become the IT Director for Lilly (France). 

Adrian is a keen Scuba diver and explorer of history, with a recent interest in things environmental, during his time in America and France he was a Scout Leader.  On his return to the U.K. he took responsibility for the Lilly IT infrastructure of Europe, Middle East, Africa, Asia Pacific & Japan.  He then took global responsibility for Lilly Client Computing & Collaboration Services, whilst retaining his responsibility for the E.M.E.A. infrastructure, he then lead the development of Lilly’s Information Risk Management processes, and the IT Quality and Security Management teams based around the globe.  His current role includes CISO leadership responsibilities and includes integrating Information Quality Management into Lilly’s Information Architecture processes. He serves on the Industrial Advisory Board, of the University of Surrey Computing Department and more recently he has become a member of the Jericho Forum.  His current activities, and his previous roles, provide him with a wealth of corporate knowledge and experience of business led information technology, telecommunications, security, quality management & the associated human resource matters.
