An Open Group Standard for Building Your Controlled Vocabulary
The Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF) does a great job of identifying the processes necessary for defining an enterprise architecture. However, the TOGAF does not assure “Boundaryless Information Flow” across enterprises. TOGAF does identify some key principles that will guide the enterprise architect but without an open standard framework that addresses data normalization across enterprise boundaries, each enterprise is faced with the challenge of effective information flow. The Open Group standard that provides the foundation framework for a controlled vocabulary is part of the solution. This presentation and demonstration of sample tools will highlight the role of this critical standard.
