Presentation
Just Enough Architecture

In selling Enterprise Architecture at Investec we have experienced two problematic words.  These are enterprise and architecture .  There are various cultural and organisational reasons for this.  This talk will reflect on some of those and show how, in spite of this problem, we are achieving tangible business benefits from EA and its roll-out in the Group.  Classical approaches, whether they be TOGAF or the Zachman model, presents a rational framework for a roll-out of an Architecture Programme.  Sadly, as in most organisations "rational" doesn't work.  We investigate the reasons for this and look at how to keep the grand plan to yourself and introduce "Just Enough Architecture" in order to meet as many of the objectives as possible.
