Dr. Guy Bunker is a Distinguished Engineer at Symantec Corporation. He is responsible for technical strategy for the data management division and runs a number of research projects around intelligent archiving.Guy has worked for Symantec (formerly VERITAS) for nearly a decade in a number of different product divisions and roles.
He has been a member of a number of industry bodies driving standards in computer storage and management and is currently a member of the Global Grid Forum and the Grid Market Awareness Council. Guy is a regular presenter at many conferences, including JavaONE, TivoliWorld, Linux on Wall Street and the VERITAS user conference, VISION. Guy has just had his second book published: Delivering Utility Computing: Business-driven IT Optimization.
Prior to VERITAS, Guy worked for a number of companies, including
Oracle, where he was the architect for their Business Process
Re-engineering tools. Guy holds a PhD in Artificial Neural
Networks from King's College London and is a Chartered Engineer
with the IEE. |
