A tutorial on using The Open Group infrastructure
Led by Andrew Josey, The Open Group
July 26, 8:00 - 9:00 am
Plato is an example of what is often called Groupware or Web Collaboration software. It has been designed so that a group of people, typically in a project or working group, can share items such as email, documents, actions and calendar events, in a controlled area of the web using a web browser. Although every Plato site uses a standard set of common facilities, a maintainer can tailor a site for the group's specific needs.
Part 2 of the Plato tutorial covers the layout of a plato page, and how to use the eight features that are provided; Actions, News items, Polls, Events, Email archive, Document store, Wiki documents, Review Documents and Glossary.
The session will end with a question and answer session.
