Dr Richard Sykes ICI Group Information Services Manager

Dr Sykes is a research scientist by training. He joined ICI in 1973 and has held a number of commercial and business management roles in the chemicals and plastics businesses of the company.

Starting in 1989, he lived for three years in Japan as the Regional General manager of ICI's 'Melinex' polyester films business. On his return, he was appointed to ICI's Group Information Services, and took over as head of IT for ICI in October 1993.
