Glen
Logan, Lt Col, USAF (Ret), is a Senior Systems Engineer with
American Systems, providing on-site technical
and management support to the DoD Open Systems Joint Task
Force (OSJTF) within the Office of the Under Secretary of
Defense for Acquisition, Technology and Logistics.
Prior to retirement from the Air
Force, he was the Deputy for Air Integration, Systems and
Mission Integration Directorate (Defense Systems) and Deputy
Director of the OSJTF. In those positions he directed a
multi-disciplinary government/industry team responsible for
accelerating the application of open systems concepts to
weapon system acquisitions. He has over 30 years experience
in systems acquisition including space launch vehicles, nuclear
test ban treaty monitoring systems, modular avionics architectures,
development planning and military and industry standards
development.
Glen is a distinguished graduate of the University of Louisiana
at Lafayette and earned a Masters of Science in Electrical
Engineering from the Air Force Institute of Technology with
specialization in Digital Control Systems and Computer Engineering.
He was elected to the grade of Associate Fellow of the American
Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) in 2003.
He currently serves as the Vice Chair of the AIAA Digital
Avionics Technical Committee, and Chair of The Open Group
Real-Time and Embedded Systems Forum.
