Presentation

Architecting Capabilities with The Open Group SOA Reference Architecture

This presentation reviews the different scenarios covered by the Open Group SOA Reference Architecture and a brief overview of the The Open Group RA. It walks through in particular the scenario in which an enterprise uses the The Open Group RA to derive its own Enterprise SOA RA, using a couple of illustrative examples.

The presentation also reviews the role of the The Open Group RA on relating security, SOA and the cloud, with one of the examples illustrating an organization adopting cloud computing based solutions for one of its capabilities.

The presentation uses a capabilities mapping approach to illustrate which capabilities are required and how the The Open Group RA is used to derive the associated Architectural Building Blocks and the required SOA assets.
