CONCLUSIONS |
The PULSE project provides a standard way of
analyzing the capabilities of procurement organizations. This supports the identification
of risks in purchasing projects, as well as areas for improvement. It also provides a tool
for managers to measure progress towards improvement targets as PULSE assessments are
conducted at regular eight to twelve-month intervals.
Because the PULSE Reference Model is part of ISO SPICE, the
methodology also provides a standard benchmark allowing organizations to compare their
procurement abilities to others in the same region, industry, or IT environment.
