PROJECT OBJECTIVES

The objectives of the ASSIST project are:

To inform IT buyers how IT procurement techniques can be applied to SMEs
To develop a set of practical Improvement Action Templates for procurement activities specific to the organization’s individual procurement processes and objectives
To enable IT buyers to compare their procurement practices and policies against European or regional common project performance metrics
To demonstrate to SMEs that their problems can often be solved without implementing heavy processes that require additional resource
To develop a PC-based self-diagnostic tool to provide IT buyers with access to expert advice without incurring large consulting costs
To develop training workshops
To develop a DIY Toolkit to enable IT buyers to help themselves
