San Francisco Conference
All-Members Activities
All Members of The Open Group are members of either the Customer Council or
the Supplier Council.
In our All-Members meetings, the Customer Council and Supplier Council
join together to involve all members of The Open Group in sharing issues and concerns that are of common interest - across all Forums and
Working Groups.
Agenda
Following-up from the previous Conference in Budapest (October
2007), in each of the 3 San Francisco plenary sessions - the mornings on Monday,
Tuesday and Wednesday (see http://www.opengroup.org/sf2008/program.htm
)
- we will hold 3 short (5-7 minutes) interview-style interludes similar to that
done in the Budapest Conference plenary by Chris Forde (Chair of the
Architecture Forum) and Allen Brown, in which the Chair (or other nominee) of
each Forum and WG:
-
Architecture
-
Management
-
Platform
-
Real-Time & Embedded Systems
-
Security & Identity Management
-
Adaptive Business Solutions
-

-

responds to 4 or 5 standard questions, gives a glimpse of
their Councils-format Roadmap, and encourages members to go to the
Members-Councils Web site to find out more and get involved.
We will also hold another Tuesday Members Lunch, where our
Customer Council and Supplier Council leaders will reinforce the messages
on
- how to make best use of these Roadmaps
- opportunities to make them even more useful
- and most importantly to encourage member feedback.
We look forward to your participation.
