Following the success of the CDSA Awareness Days co-sponsored by Intel, IBM and The Open Group, there is demand for continuing information about the Common Data Security Architecture (CDSA).  The CDSA Newsletter is distributed by email and via the Web.  It carries news and information about CDSA, and is issued as and when articles become available.  Each issue is  just a few pages, making it easy to digest.  Longer articles are serialized or summarized in the newsletter and are made available from the Web.

How to get hold of a copy

The email version of the CDSA Newsletter is being distributed through
a number of email lists.  At a suitable time, we will restrict the circulation
to those who have registered with The Open Group specifically to receive
this Newsletter.  If you want to be sure to get each issue immediately
upon publication,  please register.

The web version can be accessed by members of The Open Group and
those who have registered for our HeadsUp information service.

Advisory Board

The Open Group publishes the CDSA Newsletter and ensures that it offers unbiased and objective articles.   The following experts have agreed to serve on an Advisory Board:

  • Mike Premi and John Wilson from Intel
  • Bill Franklin and Mike Muresan from IBM
  • Mike Jerbic from Hewlett-Packard, and Aram Perez from Apple

They are joined by Phil Holmes and Ian Robertson of The Open Group, and others will be co-opted as needed.

Audience

The CDSA Newsletter is written for a number of different audiences.  It helps CIO's and their reports to understand the merits of CDSA.  It also helps software developers.  Most of the articles assume some technical knowledge and an appreciation of security needs.

Contributions

We are happy to receive contributions to the CDSA Newsletter and these can be sent via any member of the Advisory Board.  All submissions will be considered for publication, though they will be subject to review and minor editing prior to publication.  Naturally, we reserve the right not to publish.

We are equally keen to learn what you would like to see in the CDSA Newsletter.  So please send us an email suggesting items you would like to read about or subjects you'd like explained.
