Architecting for Service

Terri Richards
Strategy, Architecture and Innovation, Intel Corporation, USA

Intel’s EA group continues to foster service transformation through emerging architectural views that help IT and the business comprehend the end to end services not just the technical capability. What does this view bring to the table?

  • Who/How the service is consumed
  • What providers are utilized/What agreements must be in place
  • The key service-system transactions
  • The minimum relationships for the CMDB
  • Automation opportunities

In this session we will share:

  1. Intel’s IT Landscape and strategic objectives
  2. Enterprise architecture’s journey in Intel’s service transformation (ITIL/ITSM)
  3. How we model and re-use
    1. Service Interaction models
    2. Service Delivery Business process models (Template)
    3. Standard ITIL Process integration and re-use (i.e.: Incident Management, Service Level management, Change/Release, etc.)
  4. How enterprise architecture is influencing service design
