Professor James Chandler has taught intellectual property law for more than 20 years and has authored numerous publications on the topic.

Professor Chandler, as President of the Institute, identifies emerging issues in all aspects of intellectual property law, foreign and domestic.  He holds monthly informational seminars and publishes a newsletter which analyzes new cases decided by the US Court of Appeals for the Federal Court.

NIPLI serves as a research, resource and education center for advanced thinkers in business, industry, government, law, academia and the judiciary.

It researches and analyzes developments in significant areas of intellectual property:  patents, trademarks, trade secrets, copyrights, the semi-conductor chip, international intellectual property transactions, and intellectual property related to national security and industrial security.
