Visual Enterprise Architecture Planning
Ensuring the enterprise's strategic IT architecture stays aligned with business directions
Lars W. Henriksen
Senior Architecture Consultant, NCREnterprise architecture planning can be a complex and costly undertaking. Rapid changes in the business and technology environment are making it increasingly difficult to maintain an up-to-date strategic information systems architecture for the enterprise.
NCR presents its "Visual Enterprise Architecture Planning" (VEAP) method. VEAP allows IT architects to dynamically develop and refine business scenarios; to develop the information models and systems topologies that support these scenarios; to explicitly plan and visually demonstrate the linkages between business and technology; and to undertake so-called 'what if?' analysis to understand the impact of changed business or technology conditions.
