Mr.
Paras has more than 24 years of information technology industry experience
and is a widely recognized expert on enterprise architecture
(EA) and IT strategy and planning. With a focus on EA process, organizational
effectiveness, governance, and communications strategies, he has mentored
hundreds of private- and public-sector IT leaders through the launch
and iterative refinement of EA programs, and helped shape current thought
on EA discipline through his research and analysis of industry directions
and as a speaker at industry events.
Before joining META Group in 1998,
he was senior architect at United Airlines and held various positions
at IBM and with Unix hardware and software vendors. Mr. Paras's experience
includes systems design for transactional, data warehouse, and engineering
systems; software development; business and product planning; and technology/market
analysis in distributed computing.
He earned BS degrees in Mathematics
