Mr. Krieger assumed his current position as DoD’s Director
of Information Management in May 2003. He assists the DoD CIO in managing,
directing, executing, overseeing and implementing all facets of information
management across the Department. He is responsible for providing policy,
guidance, and direction for the net-centric enterprise services required
to implement the Global Information Grid. These services include enterprise
systems management, messaging, discovery, mediation, collaboration, user
assistance, security, storage, and application support.
Mr. Krieger is a Senior Executive with broad experience in Information
Technology and Command and Control Systems. Mr. Krieger served as a US
Army officer for twenty-five years with operational assignments in communications
and command and control. He commanded the 121st Signal Battalion, 1st
Infantry Division at Fort Riley, Kansas. He also served in the Joint
Staff J-6 and OASD-C3I.
Mr. Krieger holds a BA from the United States Military Academy, an MS
in Physics from Georgia Institute of Technology, and an MS in National
Security Strategy from the National Defense University.
