IBM
Bret Greenstein is the Director of Business Strategy for IBM's
e-business on demand initiative. In his 15 years with IBM, Bret has focused
heavily on the advancement of technology and understanding how it can help
customers transform the way they run their business.
He began his career working in IBM's Microelectronics Division working
on semiconductor process engineering and equipment automation. He then
spent two years working on advanced manufacturing floor control systems
to help run automated manufacturing lines. He then moved to the Microelectronics
Division nformation Systems organization to manage development of advanced
analytical and logistics systems and workplace collaboration systems. This
all lead to his role in IBM's Corporate CIO Office where he spent 4 years
managing systems architecture, e-business application hosting, engineering
file systems, and data center management.
Most recently, Bret moved to IBM's Grid Computing emerging business organization
where as the Global Project Executive, he managed product development and
technology for Grid Computing. This important technology initiative lead
to his current role as Director of Business Strategy. for e-business on
demand.
Bret received his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and Masters
of Science in Manufacturing Systems Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic
Institute. He has also studied Technical Japanese and continues his development
in the management and business disciplines. He lives with his wife and
two children in Brookfield, Connecticut.
