This
conference is designed to help today's organizations breakdown
the stovepipes in their IT systems to enable integrated information
to be accessed in a secure reliable and timely manner. In recognizing
that no organization can afford to replace its legacy infrastructure,
enterprise architecture has moved to center stage to address this
challenge.
Attendees will
share requirements and experiences of user organizations, understand
the approaches being taken by suppliers, learn about the evolving
industry standards and best practices, and network with leading
practitioners and thought leaders.
About the event
Boundaryless Information Flow is the term that describes the vision
that CIO's have for addressing the pressure they feel in their organizations
to deliver integrated information and access to that information
across the extended enterprise. The members of The Open Group are
focused on a broad range of initiatives for achieving Boundaryless
Information Flow for themselves, for their business partners, and
for their customers. This conference is open to non-members and is
focused on one aspect of the work of the members: Enterprise Architecture.
Immediately following the conference, The Open Group member meeting
will continue the work in each of its subject specific forums.
The conference is designed for enterprises at all stages
of creating an enterprise architecture from developing the business
scenarios,
gaining buy-in, developing the architecture framework through to
developing an architecture. Additional considerations brought about
by the practical concerns of mobility, security, real-time and
embedded systems and more will be presented.
What makes this event unique
The Open Group is a global, vendor neutral consortium that brings
together customers and suppliers of IT products and services to discuss,
address and resolve the barriers to Boundaryless Information Flow
using open industry standards, best practices and methodologies,
and the certification of conformance of products and services to
open standards.
By combining this conference with our quarterly member meeting
we are able to bring a large group of both customers and vendors,
from around the world, who are working on these issues, both
within
The Open Group and inside their own enterprises, to create a
much richer networking opportunity for non-member attendees than
could
be achieved by a stand-alone conference.
