Higher layer key exchange techniques for Bluetooth security |
|
The Bluetooth specification and security architecture defines security at the link level. Motivated by the need of enhancing the Bluetooth security, we will present new methods constructed for the recently developed framework using higher layer key exchange techniques for Bluetooth security. Our methods protect against both passive and active attacks. One of the methods is suitable for network scenarios requiring roaming support, while another method has general applicability, and enhances the security in pairing two devices without previous relationship. |
