Further information on the program group
  The next meeting of the Management Program Group will be held on September 24-25, 1997 at The Open Group Member's Meeting in Boston.

This meeting will be a joint meeting with the Specification Working Group. This is a very important meeting for moving forward the management aspects of the IT DialTone. Building on the White Paper currently being developed following on from the London Meeting, we will be concentrating on defining the management contents of Phase 1, and starting the planning of Phase 2. The principal goals and objectives of the meeting will be:

  • starting the implementation of the management aspects of the IT DialTone Architecture that are agreed following completion of the White Paper
  • identification of initial core framework services
  • development of Manageability Guidelines for other Program Groups
  • joint planning for 1998 work programme
