Leonard F. Halio is a founder and the President and CEO of Gradient Technologies, Inc., established in 1989 with the vision of providing a set of standardized application services for mission critical distributed computing (PC-DCE™) and enterprise security solutions (NetCrusader™).

Mr. Halio was previously employed as a Corporate Vice President of Prime Computer, Inc., where he established and managed an open systems business unit responsible for hardware and software development, marketing, advertising and sales. While at Prime, Mr. Halio has served on the Board of Directors of X/Open and was instrumental in the founding of UNIX International, later serving on its Executive Committee.

Prior to joining Prime, Mr. Halio spent 13 years at Digital Equipment Corporation, where, among other responsibilities, he lead the development and release of the industry standard VT100 terminal and at Chomerics, Inc. where Mr. Halio served as the general manager for a startup unit of Chomerics.
