TOGAF Program Group Meeting

Detailed Agenda
The next meeting of the TOGAF Program Group will be held on Tuesday through Thursday, 27-29 April 1999, at The Open Group Members' Meeting at Helsingor, Denmark.
The meeting falls into two parts.
- Tuesday, April 27th, will be an informational plenary day, the main focus of which will exploring alternative approaches to developing enterprise architectures.
- A multimedia TOGAF Tutorial will provide a detailed explanation of the business benefits of IT architectures in general, and of TOGAF as a framework for architecture development
- A set of case studies will be presented on approaches to achieving an enterprise architecture, both from a customer and a vendor viewpoint.
- Wednesday, April 28th, and Thursday, April 29th will be a day-and-a-half practical workshop, in which the group will progress work on the 1999 program deliverables.
- The group will receive an overview of the final 1999 plan agreed at Santa Clara, and a report on progress to date on individual work items.
- There will a half-day session devoted to the Building Blocks Definition project, which aims to develop a practical way of defining architectural building blocks in a way that can be used in conformance testing and procurement
- Part of this session will be held jointly with the Security Program Group, to review security architecture both from the security viewpoint (CDSA, Authorisation, Authentication etc.) and from the broader viewpoint of The Open Group Architectural Framework.
- There will be a report back on the Open Group Architecture Board meeting which immediately precedes the Members' Conference.
- There will be a presentation by Paul Hickey, Worldwide Director of Professional Services, on proposals for an Open Group professional services offering based on TOGAF.
- There will be a review of work in progress on the "ADM Update" project.
