We
believe youll agree that Networking Computing is
ready for Prime Time. Join us in San Diego, for the 27
April - 1 May Members Conference, as we explore the
evolution of network computing and discuss the issues
surrounding the thin-client model and its benefits to the
business and IT community. We are excited to open day one of the San Diego conference to non-members and to be able to unveil the Open Network Computer™ brand a concrete step towards IT DialTone. We will discuss why only a certified Open Network Computer is guaranteed to deliver the essential thin-client capabilities now and in the future. We have a compelling line up of industry known speakers integral to the development of network computing. These speakers, combined with attendance extended beyond our current membership, provide a broader forum for Mondays discussion of the business challenges facing you today and tomorrow. In addition to a comprehensive agenda, vendor demonstrations will round out the day, which will be concluded with a cocktail reception hosted by NCWorld Magazine. Tuesdays Network Computing Requirements session places you, our member, and your needs, center stage. We need your continued input and feedback regarding the development of network computing standards. In addition, back by popular demand, we will host a sequel to the Security Briefing session that was so well received in Amsterdam. This is developing into what is essentially an informative conference track that will include Systems Management and other compelling content. Further highlights of the week include an update on the Component Software Technology Program, an XNET Forum (stay tuned for more details), and the introduction of a broadened and refocused Program Group to be called Network Client, created by the members of the former Desktop group. Program Group activity is strong. Each Program Group has outlined their objectives for the San Diego meeting. This information is obtained by clicking on the associated button on the index page. To access summaries of the Amsterdam sessions go to the Amsterdam site. This area also contains PDF files of the Amsterdam presentations. Indeed, network computing is ready for prime time, as are The Open Group Program Groups. Please register now to take advantage of the influential power of your membership to drive change and future technology to meet your business requirements. Your membership is only as valuable as your involvement. Agenda and registration information can be reached via the San Diego index page or it is accessible from our newly revised home page via the "Events" button. Please note: The hotel reservation deadline is 23 March. Due to a citywide convention, hotel rooms may not be available in San Diego outside of our room block. We strongly recommend that you register before that expiration date - 23 March. We look forward to your participation in San Diego! |
