Donna S. Van Fleet is responsible for the development of IBM’s network computers.This responsibility entails:

Mrs. Van Fleet’s prior assignments included managing IBM’s UNIX product (AIX), database products (IMS and DB2) and mainframe operating system (MVS).

Mrs. Van Fleet is a member of the Board of Directors of UniForum; chairperson of the Advisory Board for the School of Natural Sciences at St. Edward’s University, Austin, Texas; and a member of the Board of Governors of the IBM Academy of Technology. In 1996, Mrs. Van Fleet was recognized by McGraw-Hill Companies as one of the top 100 women in computing.

She resides in Austin, Texas, with her husband, Jim, and their 16-year-old son, Jonathan.

Mrs. Van Fleet holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from Muhlenberg College, Allentown, Pennsylvania.
