Rawn Shah helped found NC World in December 1996 to investigate the emerging network-centric computing market and educate the IT management public about this evolutionary step in computing. He has covered technical issues on networks and network-based computing for several magazines since 1993. He has written on a wide range of topics including details of the ATM and IP protocols, how to develop enterprise applications with Java, PC to UNIX connectivity, commercial and political factors of wide area network service, and how to create DSL infrastructures. He ran a full-service Internet service provider in Arizona for five years.
