Component Software Technology -
Program Update
Following on from the initial session in Amsterdam, the Special Session on Component Software Technology will look into more of the issues related to using the different technologies that are available, and in particular how these technologies interoperate with each other.

Background

Initially the session will review the initial session, from Amsterdam, and look to build on the conclusions reach by the attendees. Particularly, building on the fact that there is no current requirement for a Program Group to define the problems in this area, but that there is a strong need for better education on the different technologies available and how they interoperate.

Objectives

In San Diego, the objectives of the session will look at the following areas:

  • The future interests of the group
  • Analysis and Education relating to one or more Interoperability areas of interest
  • Some discussion of the forthcoming Open Brand for CORBA and the Interoperability Assurance Program
