Per HasvoldResearch Scientist Norwegian Centre for Telemedicine, University Hospital of North NorwayBorn 1965, married with two kids. Earned the degree of Master of Science in Physics from the University of Tromsų, 1991. Established the company TromsTech DA, together with two fellow students in 1991, developing hardware and software for environment and health monitoring. Joined Akvaplan-niva AS in 1993 to head a project on airborne spectrometers for environment surveillance. Became a Research Scientist at the Norwegian Centre for Telemedicine (NST) in 1995. Has since worked on several projects developing telemedicine systems for Norwegian healthcare. Became the Manager of the Future Telemedicine Lab at the NST in 2000. Initiated and led the development of a series of projects called "CyberNINA - the future healthcare worker" focusing on mobile and wearable systems for healthcare professionals. Is now working on a PhD in Informatics, focusing on mobile and "In the Field" computer-based collaboration tools at the University of Oslo, but maintains a part time association with the Norwegian Centre for Telemedicine.
