Rodney Edwards
Director
Edwards Churcher Design

Rodney's experience of design in both the commercial and academic field makes him invaluable in the Edwards Churcher team. He is involved in projects from start to completion, from the rational exploration of communications problems to creative design solutions.

Rodney studied Graphic Information Design at Harrow College of Design and Communication, graduating in 1988 and then teaching part-time on the same course the following year.

Rodney has worked with Routledge and Collins publishers (now Harper Collins), Touch Ross, Bull Computers, FT Information, and BT on a range of print and new media design projects. In 1994 Rodney became Design Director of the Reuters Usability Group where he worked on various interaction design projects, generating new design standards throughout the company for the development of professional financial services. Rodney also worked with Reuters and Landor to create the Corporate Identity Guideline for on-screen product branding, laying down principles and guidelines for graphical user interfaces across all Reuters products and services. During this period Rodney was asked to develop and pilot a new curriculum for a three-year degree course in Interaction Design at Ravensbourne College of Design and Communication. This course secured national BA (Hons) validation in 1996. Rodney s students have won numerous Interaction Design awards from the Royal Society of Arts and the Design & Art Directors Association.

In 1997 Rodney formed Edwards Churcher with co-director Neil Churcher, to focus on design development and identity for information and content-type internet and Web services. Edwards Churcher is currently enjoying success at their Clerkenwell studios.
