This session will overview the various strategies for implementing Java-based "thin client" Internet Appliances. The Sun Network Computer (NC) will be overviewed, focusing on reducing desktop complexity, reducing cost of ownership, enhancing security and improving application development and distribution methods in the corporate enterprise.

But market opportunities for "thin clients" go beyond enterprise intranets to an extended exterprise or "Extranet". Java Computing will connect and enable commerce among enterprises, businesses and consumers via Java systems, Java devices and Java phones.
