Mr Tao, who is also president of Tokyo Internet Co., Ltd and director, strategic information systems at SECOM CO., LTD, is a graduate of Tokyo University from where he obtained a Masters degree in the Faculty of Science, in 1967.

He is a member of the Japan Techno Mart Foundation, Electron Network Confidence, and the UNIX Business Association.
