Jim Turner is Director of Standards and Partnerships in the Enterprise Management Business Unit at Cisco Systems.  He has been responsible for Ciscos strategy of network management integration through Management Intranets.  He joined Cisco in early 1995 and helped launch the Web Based Enterprise Management (WBEM) industry initiative in 1996.

Mr. Turner has 19 years' experience in the networking industry, and serves as Chairman of the Distributed Management Task Force (DMTF), and Chair of the WBEM working group in that organization.

Prior to joining Cisco, Mr. Turner worked at Tandem Computers as Product Manager for Distributed System and Network Management and previously held senior marketing and engineering positions at ROLM, IBM, and National Semiconductor.

Mr. Turner holds Bachelors degrees in Physics and Electrical Engineering and a Masters degree in Computer Science from the University of Texas.
