Domain Overview

Architecture Development focuses on the creation and development of an enterprise architecture, covering the four domains of an enterprise architecture (Business, Data, Applications, Technology).

Domain Context

The presumed context for Domain A consists of key references to other parts of TOGAF.

Relationships to Other Domains

Domain A populates the enterprise architecture and provides the basis for the work of the other domains.

Relationships to the Enterprise Continuum

Domain A populates the Enterprise Continuum with architecture artifacts.

Relationships to the Resource Base

Domain A uses the tools and techniques in the resource base to develop the architecture artifacts.

Closure on Domain A will be when:

  1. The strategic deliverables have been completed and agreed by all concerned, including the Board.

  2. The next domain has been fully activated.
