Andrew Josey introduced The Open
Group standards process to the meeting and explained its importance.
Dennis Kerssens talked about
ensuring that ArchiMate 1.0 should be aligned with TOGAF™ 9 before
entering Open Group company review.
Andrew Josey gave the group the
opportunity to bring up any concerns, and Henry Franken, Dennis Kerssens,
and Erik Proper responded and provided clarification where necessary.
In light of concerns raised, it
was agreed that a new version is needed before entering company review
and that the following changes be made:
- Rework
introductory chapter – apply TOGAF™ words
- Remove
TOGAF mapping to TOGAF™ 8.1.1 and rework as a White Paper
Henry Franken introduced his
proposal for an ArchiMate certification program to the group. He
explained that it was based on the existing program for TOGAF™.
The group discussed the proposal
and suggested some modifications.
The group reviewed a proposed
Roadmap for 2009 and a discussion took place. Some modifications were
made to the roadmap and it was approved.
The ArchiMate Forum charter was approved and
adopted.
A set of changes to the current draft of the
ArchiMate 1.0 Technical Standard were agreed.
It was agreed to distribute the ArchiMate
certification proposal through the ArchiMate web page (www.opengroup.org/archimate)
and submit it to The Open Group for review.
The 2009 Roadmap was approved.
