Secure Directory Server Workshop
Objective of Meeting
The purpose of the workshop was to identify and describe the business requirements for
secure directory servers.
Summary
The meeting was opened by Chris Harding, the Executive Director of the Directory
Interoperability Forum. He described the background - the need to identify secure
directory server requirements as the basis for derfining a certification profile.
The Open Group CIO Terry Blevins then facilitated a workshop using the Business
Scenario method. The method and the workshop steps are described in his presentation.
Outputs
A large amount of valuable raw requirements input material was gathered.
Next Steps
The next step is to develop a Business Scenario, using the raw requirements input. This
will be done by discussion and review within the DIF.
When the Business Scenario is complete, the DIF will develop a Secure Directory Server
certification profile.
