The meeting discussed the plans for and contents of the Guide to SOA and Cloud Security that will be the main deliverable of the Security for the Cloud and SOA project.
A draft of the SOA ontology had been posted for public review, prior to its further development for Open Group Company Review. The comments that had been made in this public review were discussed. By the end of the meeting, 100 of the 130 comments had been determined, and all major issues had been resolved.
The meeting reviewed the current state of the draft Reference Architecture standard. Three sections of this remain to be reviewed by the project team. Once this has been done, the complete document will be posted for Work Group review so that member companies can comment. Once these comments have been addressed, a draft should be prepared for Company Review.
The SOA/TOGAF Practical Guide project team's ideas on the Metamodel and TOGAF™ Phases C and D were presented and road-tested through discussion with practitioners. The team then discussed and agreed the content of the sections on Phases E, F, and G.
The SOA and Cloud Security project will proceed to develop its Guide as discussed during the meeting.
The remaining public review comments on the SOA Ontology will be determined by teleconference, and a draft will then be prepared for Company Review recirculation.
The Reference Architecture project team will complete its review of the draft SOA Reference Architecture, and then proceed to Work Group review and Open Group company review.
The SOA/TOGAF Practical Guide team will prepare a draft of the Practical Guide for review by the SOA Work Group and the Architecture Forum. This draft will use summary text in a style similar to that of a presentation.
