Cloud Work Group Members' Meeting

Objective of Meeting

The meeting was held to discuss the future plans of the Cloud Business Artefacts (CBA) and Cloud Business Use-Cases (CBUC) projects, which had completed deliverables just prior to the conference. These projects are intended to address the needs of those responsible for business solutions that use Cloud Computing.

Summary

The meeting was held in two sessions: to discuss the CBA project on Tuesday July 20, and to discuss the CBUC project on Thursday July 22.

The CBA project had just completed the Cloud Buyers' Decision Tree and Cloud Buyers' Requirements Questionnaire White Papers. It discussed the development of further deliverables within its charter.

The CBUC team had completed its deliverables as described in its charter with publication of the White Paper Strengthening your Business Case for Using Cloud, which incorporates a comprehensive set of business use-cases. It identified further work that will deliver value based on the use-cases that it has already developed.

The meeting did not produce any output documents.

Next Steps

The CBA project team will continue to develop materials that will help business people to understand Cloud Computing and decide whether to use it, including Cloud Metrics Scorecards and Cloud Risk Scorecards.

The CBUC team will propose an updated charter with new deliverables for discussion by the Cloud Work Group Steering Committee.
