Objective of Meeting

This was a concentrated session of the SOA Governance Project, to accelerate development of The Open Group SOA Governance Framework.

Outputs

The meeting agreed on:

  • A top-level UML model for SOA Governance
  • An outline of how SOA Governance relates to TOGAF
  • A draft document on Governance Lifecycles (Portfolio, Service, and Solution), including:
    • Roles and Responsibilities (RACI Chart)
    • SOA Portfolio Activities
    • Service Lifecycle Processes
    • SOA Solution Governance

Next Steps

The project team will produce a White Paper describing a standard SOA Governance model by the July conference (in Chicago), and follow this with a description of how to use this model to define SOA Governance for a particular enterprise.
