Forum Reports
Objective of Meeting
This Plenary Reports session provides all attendees to the conference
with the opportunity to hear about the achievements and activities in the
Forums of The Open Group, covering the period from the previous Conference
(New Orleans, October 2004) to the present time.
Summary
Chris Harding introduced this session (slides
available to members and meeting attendees only) and a representative from
each Forum then presented in 2-3 slides per Forum the highlights of:
- What happened in the previous Forum meetings in New Orleans, October
2004
- What has happened between then and this San Francisco conference
- What our expected outcomes are from the meetings in this San
Francisco conference
Reports were presented as follows:
- Enterprise Management/QoS Forum
- Real-Time & Embedded Systems Forum
- Architecture Forum
- Messaging Forum
- Security Forum
- Directory Interoperability Forum
- Identity Management Program
- Information Management Task Force
With only 30 minutes to cover all these reports, each report could only
cover the highlights.
Outputs
Information on the main activities and achievements of each Forum in
The Open Group, covering the October 2004 Conference in New Orleans to
this January 2005 Conference in San Francisco.
