Leadership and Commitment in EA

Most architects agree that leadership skills are essential for any successful architect. Besides broad knowledge of concepts, developments and their relationships, the architect should posses the skills to negotiate, communicate and persuade their colleagues. In this session we will try to gain deeper understanding of the "soft side" of the architect using leadership and political theories. We will try to pinpoint various moments during the ADM where leadership and commitment is essential and propose a new way of thinking about the added value of architecture.

Audience:-
(Enterprise) Architects, Managers, CIO's

Key takeaways:-
1. Enabling and gaining instead of controlling and claiming
2. Soft skills are an essential part of the architect's repetoire
3. Think big, start small.
