Case study: Drive SOA Migration Roadmap through Financial Parameters

The presentation will be based on a case study dealing with a novel controlling model for SOA and EA to fortify architecture work with financial parameters. It has been applied during a typical TOGAF-based architecture development project, the design of an architecture blueprint ­ from the business vision to the technical implementation ­ with a concrete implementation roadmap. The approach enabled fact-based decisions, especially regarding the assessment of monolithic legacy systems with a view to the SOA-based target architecture and the planned migration paths. The presentation will close with a short outlook on lessons learned regarding implementation of SOA controlling.
