A Service Oriented Approach to User Provisioning - Unexpected Architectural Challenges

Changes in the use of identity in enterprise applications have eroded the boundaries between enterprise business information and access management information. This problem already exists but has been masked by an artificial wall between “functional” and “non-functional” applications. Using a service oriented approach to user provisioning both highlights the problem and provides an architectural approach to resolving it. In this presentation we will examine the creation of an architecture, which utilizes service oriented architecture and infrastructure and additionally we discuss the potential contribution to the development of coherent enterprise data.

Audience:-
Architects and security professionals; and people interested in practical pronlems in EA and SOA

Key takeaways:-
1. Changing role of user provisioning.
2. Designing for agility
3. Separattion of concerns
