Project Start Architecture: the killer application for EA

The Project Start Architecture (PSA) is one the artefacts of the DYnamic Architecture (DYA) approach of Sogeti. The PSA delineates a concrete and usable framework within which the project should be carried out. The enterprise architecture (principles, rules and guidelines and models, is clarified or “translated” in a PSA to meet the specific problems of a project.

Since it's introduction in 2001 it has become the de-facto standard for bringing enterprise architecture into life in projects. It is widely used in The Netherlands and in Sweden. Eg. all governmental bodies and all major insurance companies in The Netherlands make use of it.

So it's time to look back and learn why the PSA is so successfull and how it relates to TOGAF.
