Vilas PrabhuVilas Prabhu is a 'Consultant chief architect', managing his organisation's engagement with customers' CTO/CIO organisation, aiming to be a trusted advisor forhis clients on enterprise architecture, with an emphasis on technology and applications related issues, keeping in mind the business needs.

In the process, he identifies and executes consulting assignments within the Enterprise Architecture functional area.

Vilas has more than a decade and a half of experience in the IT industry. he was a technical architect involved in development of a MDA tool, MasterCraft. He registsred patents for the technologies that he developed, as part of this tool. He was also solutions architect for some of the projects, where this tool was used to develop mission critical systems for clients in US, Australia and New Zealand.

I Rest My (Business) Case

Making a business case for IT architecture transformation is a huge challenge, especially when there is no business program to piggy back on. Bur certain architectural challenges are important enough to warrant a transformation, without a business change. This presentation talks about need for such transformations, what are the pitfalls, how to avoid them and techniques to justify these transformations in terms of business case.
