Gert du Preez is a Senior Manager in the Advisory service line of PricewaterhouseCoopers.
He is currently based in Brussels, where he is responsible for PwC™s IT governance, IT strategy and enterprise architecture services within Belgium. He is a member of PwC™s global steering groups on Enterprise Architecture and IT Governance.
Prior to PwC, he was a manager in Application Architecture at a major bank. His industry experience includes the financial services, mining, telecommunications, energy, hospitality and the public sectors, in the US, Europe, Australia and South Africa. |

Enterprise Architecture Governance during the Crisis
There is currently significant pressures for cost savings in IT. This could mean postponement of investments, as well as staff and budget reductions. These measures can take effect quickly, but can also negatively impact the long-term Enterprise Architecture in areas such as resilience and agility. Appropriate governance is therefore critical during this time to ensure that complex objectives are balanced in the best possible way. Key governance mechanisms are introduced and some of the specific focus areas during the crisis are discussed
