Mark BurnhamMark is a Director within Deloitte's Architecture and Business Analysis group. He has over 20 years Architecture and Design experience working with clients in Finance, Consumer Business, Telecoms, Utilities and the Public Sector.

Mark's experience and skills lie in the successful delivery of technology programmes. He is a firm believer in architected approaches but recognises the pragmatism necessary to balance conflicting aims and project constraints typical within large organisations.

Case Study: Enterprise Interoperability through SOA

Mark's aim is to illustrate a view of what Enterprise Interoperability is and how it can be achieved by use of a case study. The London Congestion Charge is widely known and has been acknowledged as an example of successful implementation of IT. As the solution now evolves a service oriented approach has been used to provide increased flexibility through greater interoperability.

In the case study Mark intends to look at the different levels of service view and explain what a service is from both the course grained and fine grained views. He also touches briefly on some implementation considerations as well as discussing governance and organisational challenges.
