The Advantages of an Integrated Approach to Business Design

Juan le Roex
Information Management Systems Manager, Parsons Brinckerhoff

The challenges facing an organization in its business design and improvement are multi-faceted. A business is complex by nature since it requires the integration of people, process and business systems into a functional entity that is optimal and maximizes throughput at the right quality.

This paper addresses the processes and tools used to provide an integrated approach to business process, system design, integration, and deployment. The tools are EA-focussed and are applied in a consistent and holistic manner in support of a Business Process Management (BPM) solution for the operational deployment of business process. The objectives and benefits of this approach will be discussed as part of the presentation.
