Le YaoLe Yao, PhD, Director of CIP class, Peking University, China

Director of CIO class of Peking University, PhD. TOGAF9 certified. Dr. Yao is the first one to introduce EA and TOGAF courses to China. Dr. Yao’s main research and consulting fields are EA, IT governance, IT investment management, IT performance assessment and CIO leadership.

Dr. Yao has taken part in several State e-gov program. His personal books include Practical e-business and CIO’s Comprehensive Practice.

How to Sell Enterprise Architecture to CIOs in China?

Motivation: What business expects of their CIO has changed. The CIOs  are no longer seen as the custodians of information technologies but are expected to deliver and frequently enable following very tangible and visible business results:

  • Optimize the total cost of Information Automation  and Service Level Agreement
  • Business and IT Risks
  • Growth: Internally Focused
  • Growth: Externally Focused

CIO are striving to deliver on these programs while building a next generation IT organization with competencies to holistically architect their enterprise, strategic planning and governance, vendor management, solution delivery life cycle etc.
