Xu Shao Chun (Robert Xu), Chairman and Chief Architect, Kingdee

Xu Shao Chun (Robert Xu) is the Chairman of the Board, Chief Architect, and Founder of Kingdee International Software Group Company Limited which is publicly listed in Hongkong. Mr. Xu is a member of the 9th central committee of Chinese National Democratic Construction Association. Mr. Xu has been awarded the Government Special Expert Allowance by the State Council and is a senior economist of China.

Mr. Xu graduated from the Southeast University majoring in computer science and received the Master degree in Accounting from the Science and Research Institute of the Ministry of Finance and EMBA from the China Europe International Business School.

Since Kingdee was founded by Mr. Xu in 1991, he has devoted himself completely to the Chinese software industry. He has led Kingdee to revolutionize its enterprise management software package three times with his advanced technology sensibility and precise grasp of the trends of the global enterprise management software industry.

Mr. Xu has profound comprehension in the enterprise strategy and operation management. Based on his innovation concept and management experience paced with the times, he is now driving the progress of the Chinese Management Model and formed an annual Chinese Management Model Excellence Award selection committee with top Chinese management professionals.

Mr. Xu is highly respected for his outstanding innovation and technology transformation of the Chinese software industry. Mr. Xu is the only Chinese Entrepreneur to receive the award of “Local Entrepreneurs of the World” by the United Nations in the World Local Entrepreneur Summit. Enterprise Architecture Supporting the Chinese Management Model

An annual Chinese Management Model Excellence Award was established in 2008 by Kingdee to select the best managed companies in China. The selection criteria are based on a Chinese Management Model which consists of Chinese philosophy, modern management science, and best practices.

The keynote speech will cover the following:

1. Overview of the Chinese Management Model
2. Enterprise Architecture and Strategic Planning
3. Case Study: Tsingtao Beer

The 2008 award winners include internationally renowned companies like Tsingtao Beer and Lenovo for their management excellence. The Tsingtao Beer case will be covered to show how it conducts strategic planning. It will be demonstrated how the strategic planning process can be conducted using Enterprise Architecture tools which supports TOGAF. The Tsingtao process will then be compared with PCF (Process Classification Framework) of APQC (American Productivity and Quality Center).
